Accreditation

Sydney Adventist Hospital is accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) www.achs.org.au, and continually works to ensure it meets or exceeds the standards set by the Council. The program run by ACHS is known as the Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP) with quality standards comprising 45 criteria across 3 functions.


In 2005 Sydney Adventist Hospital received 4-year accreditation and in 2007 underwent Periodic Review being awarded Extensive Achievement (EA) in a number of areas including Infection Prevention and Control.


The survey team commented on the “evident culture of striving to achieve best practice and a commitment to looking for areas of improvement”. The surveyors also noted that “the care provided to patients is of a high standard”.
