Retail Outlets at the San
There are several outlets at the hospital providing a wide range of services. More information about each of these can be accessed via the links on the left.
Mobile & Public Telephones
There is a public telephone located on Level 4, behind the lifts in the hospital foyer.
Due to the possible interference with medical equipment, the use of mobile telephones and all wireless communication devices is not permitted in critical areas, such as Intensive Care Units, Operating Theatres, and Special Care Nurseries. In general ward areas, mobile phones should not be used within one metre of any medical equipment. There are lounge areas on all wards where mobile phones can be safely used without causing any interference with equipment.
Mail (including emails through the Email a Patient service and eCards through the Send a Patient eCard feature) is delivered to patients’ rooms on a daily basis by one of our Help Team Volunteers. Any mail received following discharge will be forwarded to the patient's home address.
A letterbox is located in the Hospital foyer opposite the lifts. For regular mail, stamps may be purchased between 9.00am and 4.00pm, Monday – Friday from the Patient Services Cashier, situated in the Level 4 main foyer.

Newspapers & Magazines
Newspapers are available for purchase at the San Snax Snack Bar in the Hospital foyer, from Sunday to Friday. A variety of magazines are available from the San Café.

ATM
A credit union ATM is located on Level 4, behind the lifts in the foyer. While most businesses and food outlets within the Hospital are able to take credit cards and EFTPOS payments, some are cash only.
Taxis
There is a Free Call Taxi phone located on Level 4 in the hospital foyer, near the Florist and Pharmacy.
